ScoreScribe Terms of Service

By installing and using the ScoreScribe Google Sheets™ Add-on ("ScoreScribe" or the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

ScoreScribe is a productivity tool designed by SmartClassScripts to format and generate narrative academic achievement reports based on user-inputted data.

2. Licensing and Freemium Model

ScoreScribe operates on a freemium model:

• Free Tier: Users may generate up to two (2) free reports to evaluate the Service.

• Paid License: To generate unlimited reports, users must purchase a license key via our authorized distributor (Gumroad).

• License Binding: License keys are strictly bound to the individual Google Account (email address) used at the time of activation. Licenses cannot be shared across multiple users, colleagues, or school departments. Attempting to bypass the license verification system will result in the immediate revocation of the license key without a refund.

3. Appropriate Educational and Clinical Use

You are solely responsible for the data you input into ScoreScribe. You agree that:

• You have the legal and institutional authority to process the student data you enter into your Google Sheet.

• You will review all generated reports for clinical accuracy, appropriate grammar, and correct context before distributing them to parents, IEP teams, or placing them in official educational records.

• ScoreScribe is a formatting tool, not a diagnostic instrument. It does not replace the professional judgment of a qualified Special Education Teacher, School Psychologist, or Educational Diagnostician.

4. Trademark Disclaimer and Nominative Fair Use

ScoreScribe is an independent reporting tool created by SmartClassScripts. It is designed to format and organize user-inputted academic data. This tool is compatible with data generated by the Wechsler Individual Achievement Test, Fourth Edition (WIAT®-4). WIAT is a registered trademark of Pearson Education, Inc. or its affiliate(s). ScoreScribe and SmartClassScripts are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Pearson Education, Inc.

5. Disclaimer of Warranties

ScoreScribe is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. Smart Class Scripts makes no warranties, expressed or implied, regarding the reliability, accuracy, or uninterrupted operation of the Service. We do not warrant that the Service will meet your specific requirements or that errors in the software will be corrected.

6. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SmartClassScripts shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, or any loss of data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses resulting from:

• Your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the Service.

• Any conduct or content of any third party on the Service.

• Errors, mistakes, or inaccuracies in the generated reports.

7. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of any significant changes by updating the "Last Updated" date at the top of this document. Continued use of ScoreScribe after any such changes constitutes your consent to the new Terms.
